one time when i was younger i had some of that no tears shampoo and i wanted to see if it was legit so when i was in the shower i squirted it into my eye and i think i went blind for like three days

UM I BEG TO DIFFER.

Ugh, I just couldn't get into it because of the dialogue and major holes in the continuity and plot. Some of it was like that, but some of it came off too strongly of people trying to talk like teenagers and be super mysterious. I can see how other people like it, but it wasn't for me. That said, I'll probably end up watching season 2.

Oh don’t get me wrong, the show has it’s flaws, most DEFINITELY. Towards the end of the season I was laughing at how over the top the supernatural elements were getting. It’s a lot like the first season of American Horror Story in that it wants to cram so much stuff into one universe that it starts to collapse in on itself. But for me the quirky dialogue was reminiscent of twin peaks and It’s something I do in own writing sometimes so i appreciated it. It’s definitely not for everyone. But I’ll be damned If I don’t watch the second season, if only to find out what happened to Shelly.

Ugh, yeah but see, the odd dialogue was one of the things I loved about Hemlock Grove

Because many of us do speak in that odd manner, we just tend to ignore it. And when the dialogue is odd, it’s layered with multiple meanings that have context within the mythos they’re creating. It’s what gives the show it’s quirk!
